This paper, focusing broadly on cash transfers in Bangladesh with some discussion of the Old Age Allowance, provides and overview of fiscal space and challenges for the financing of social protection programmes. It also provides basic evaluation of cash transfers in Bangladesh with relation to coverage levels, errors of inclusion and the socio-economic situation of recipients.
